Vehicle Day

Click to view slideshow.Well done to all the chidlren in Years 3/4 for making your superb vehicles. We went out (even in the rain at one point) to test our super vehicles.

In the afternoon the finalists from each class went head to head to find out which vehicles performed the best. Needless to say… we had a fantastic day.

Junk and craft materials

Our stock of boxes, tubes and sparkly bits of sparkly things is running dangerously low. If you have any junk materials to share with 3/4 or the whole school, please bring them in!

In a few weeks time, we will be doing an activity that requires 2 plastic bottles. You can start bringing them in now… the more the merrier!

Round and adjust

In maths, we have been rounding numbers to the nearest ten to help us to subtract quicker. We then need to adjust our answer.

For example

82 – 38 =

82 – 40 (because 38 is close to 40) = 42

Then add 2 back on because we took 2 too many off

42 + 2 = 44
